World War I Centenary – How the Great War affected the Low Countries: Lecture by Ulrich Tiedau, University College London (April 6)

This year, we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the First World War, the “Great War” that deeply affected Europe. Looking back at the origins and development of this war, Professor Ulrich Tiedau (University College, London) will present a new perspective on how it affected the Low Countries, in particular the battlefields of Flanders.

Ulrich Tiedau is Director of the Dutch Studies program at University College London and is considered an expert on historical relations between the Low Countries (the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg) and Germany.
