March 15 – How to Tackle Climate Change? Observations from the Netherlands by Hugo von Meijenfeldt

End of this year in Paris the global negotiations to tackle climate change are supposed to deliver tangible results. The overall temperature rise should stay under 2⁰C  and the 196 parties to the Climate Convention should agree upon the way how to achieve this goal, partly by implementing national and local policies in a transparent manner.

Hugo von Meijenfeldt was the Netherlands’ Special Envoy for Climate Change between 2009 and 2013. He is currently Consul-General of the Netherlands in San Francisco.
