Dutch Studies is part of the Department of German at UC Berkeley. It is also closely connected to UC Berkeley's Institute of European Studies and its Benelux Program. The Dutch Studies Program is actively supported by the Taalunie, an intergovernmental organization that develops and stimulates policy for Dutch in the Netherlands, Flanders, and Suriname, and supports Dutch in the world. Our program is also an active participant in the American Association for Netherlandic Studies (AANS) and the Internationale Vereniging voor Neerlandistiek (IVN), organizations that represent Dutch Studies Programs in the United States and in the entire world respectively.
