Charles W. Wendell Research Grant

The New Netherland Institute offers research grants with financial support from the estate of Charles W. Wendell. These annual grants honor the memory of Dr. Charles W. Wendell, a valued trustee, vice-president, and president of the New Netherland Institute’s Board of Trustees from 2000 to 2015. The grant covers a period of one week up to six months, part of which may be devoted to residency at the New Netherland Research Center in Albany, New York, and provides a stipend of $1,000 – $ 5,000, depending upon the scope of the project. More information can be found here.

NNRC Student Scholar in Residence Research Grant

The New Netherland Research Center (NNRC), a joint endeavor of the New Netherland Institute (NNI) and the Office of Cultural Education, New York State Education Department (NYSED/OCE), with financial support from the Government of the Netherlands, announces the NNRC Student Scholar in Residence Research Grant. The grant covers a period of up to three months in residence and provides a stipend of $5,000.  More information can be found here.
